Fallen Heroes

Police Memorial Monument

Officers dedicated the Police Memorial monument to honor the service of those killed in the line of duty.

The Monroe Police Department recognizes the ultimate sacrifice made by the following officers, and to their families, we express our utmost respect and sorrow for their loss of their loved one in the line of duty for the citizens of Monroe.

In 2010, MPD was able to construct a memorial to those officers. A solemn marble monument was erected displaying the officers names against the police shield. Granite benches and pathway bricks were engraved in appreciation of the many businesses and citizens who supported this project.

The memorial is located at the front of the MPD main station at 700 Wood Street.
