The Monroe Police Department will have a team participating in the Susan G. Komen “Race For The Cure” event on September 24th at 8am in Forsythe Park.
Proceeds from the Komen Race for the Cure Series fund research efforts and local breast health and breast cancer outreach programs. A majority of the proceeds fund community projects related to breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment. Such projects are based on the specific needs of each community as determined by a need assessment performed by each local Komen Affiliate.
