US Attorneys Office Awards Local Law Enforcement Officers

On April 19th, U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley recognized seven officers of the Monroe Police Department, as well as officers from West Monroe Police Department, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, and Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Program. This program is federally-funded and is focused on the reduction of firearm-related offenses.

Some of these cases resulted in over 8 years of federal jail time for the offenders for the firearm offense, along with any other charges they are convicted of.

Detectives K. Fulmer, B. Baw, and M. Travis, as well as Officers C. Ballard, C. Florey, and T. Burlew each received a plaque. Detective T. Passman also received a plaque in appreciation for his assistance as the liason officer for the Western District of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and local agencies.
