Cassandra D. Washington, arrested for robbery of victim from Pecanland Mall.
On Jan 18th, CPL C. Hodge began investigating a robbery complaint in which the victim was exiting from Pecanland Mall and was asked by three people for a ride home.
The victim began driving the three subjects and asked where to drive to; the victim was subsequently threatened by one of the three riders and directed to South 1st and Linderman in West Monroe. At that location, the victim’s purse was taken from the vehicle as the three suspects fled the area.
Detective M. Travis conducted the investigation further, which lead to the arrest of Cassandra D. Washington for simple robbery based upon statements received from her interview. The identity of the remaining two suspects is being withheld at this time, pending apprehension.
